Original Abstract Art As Perceived By A Beginning Painter

By Adele Madden

The likes of Jackson Pollock has sparked the interest of many aspiring artists towards original abstract art. With his signature paint dripping style, he has been known widely as Jack the Dripper. His style revolved mainly on letting loose and being part of the canvas as it was being manipulated for creation.

In school, students who take up Humanities would most likely come across the history of painting and the notable painters per era. This is where you can get preliminary information about this field in art. Outside the borders of the classroom, you can also explore insights from books and personal tours that will expose you to more truths and fanciful ideas.

In truth, there is no definite guideline as to how you should pursue your want to create abstractions. If you feel that there is something that you need to fulfill through painting expressions, you just need to go with it. Play around with colors and in making textures. You can also let your imagination revolve around one idea until you get the essence of its likeness.

Abstractions can toy with emotions and let you think more than necessary. This is because even painters do not really know what they are doing at some point. They simply go with the flow and pour themselves into the process of creating an aesthetically pleasing work that may or may not be accepted by the audience.

In art, the best way to figure out how to do things is to just get on with it the first time. Given that you are allowed to make mistakes and cover it up as you go along the way, you can start with any technique. You have the freedom to express what you feel at the moment, or what concept and through pervades your senses.

There are those who develop techniques from the theories they have familiarized with. Also, nothing teaches you better than personal experience with the highs and lows of life. Motivation always come from strong emotions or an object that you want to emulate because it means so much to you.

If it helps, let music accompany you. Many people rely on the power of songs to move them effortlessly. There is something about lyrics and melodies that let people express themselves more openly, and with the involvement with the canvas, the movements then become a key tool in imprinting paint on the surface.

If you want to start your own personal project, all you need at first is your materials. The canvas, paint and brushes are preliminary requirements that will allow you to create right there and then. More importantly, it is your style that will dictate how far you can go with your experimentation.

There are several ways to make an impression. Original abstract art is one of the strongest expressions that you will come across it, though it may take some time to get used to the concepts that they convey. Then again, art can be interpreted in many ways because that is its nature. As long as you create because you desire to, things will pick up from there.
