This method was and is still very costly and Aerial Photography drones were invented to solve this problem.

When purchasing a drone, there are a number of factors that should be considered. The expertise of the individual handling the drone should be factored in. Drones are rather pricey and they can be damaged easily. For example, if an individual is a novice or a trainee, purchasing a cheaper drone is desirable. Reason being, they can easily smash and destroy a drone during the training period.

Secondly, one should understand how the drone will be used. An individual may choose to purchase a cheaper drone if it is meant for recreational purposes only. If one intends to take quality aerial photographs, then purchasing a high quality drone is inevitable. Since taking pictures is a technique and an art, the drone should have the capability of taking pictures at various angles.

Drones are designed for different purposes; for example, some are designed to carry loads from one point to another while others are designed for military purpose. These drones tend to be large and heavy and they are not meant for taking pictures. Drones that have been manufactured to take aerial photographs are lighter. Therefore, one should see to it that the they purchase a drone that is designed for the intended purpose.

A photographer must see to it that they take quality pictures. Else, their reputation can be tainted by capturing images of poor quality. Some drones have their cameras integrated during the manufacturing process. Therefore, a buyer ought to be keen and purchasing a camera with an excellent lens is vital.

The life of the rechargeable battery should be put into consideration. The battery should store enough charge that can be used for an extended period of time. Since the drone will be used for a long period of time without recharging its batter. Otherwise, the battery may run dry in the least expected time and this may affect the filming.

Drones are machines and they tend to break down from time to time. In case a part warrants a replacement, then it should be easy to procure it. If the parts are readily available, then doing the repairs will be an easy task. However, if the parts are not readily available then the cost of repairing the equipment can be on the higher side.

However, If the spares are not locally available one may be forced to import the parts and as a result the time taken to repair the machine will be prolonged. Finally, the cost should be considered. It is prudent to purchase a machine that one can afford, Therefore, coming up with a budget when making a purchase can be helpful.
