Cleaning Methods For Window Treatments

There are many styles of these which are available for installation and the types depend on the location of installment.

For vinyl blinds and plastic blinds, use the all purpose cleaner, position the material and spray it. A sponge may be used as well for wiping the cleaner directly or a garden hose for the water. Soaking it in a bathtub with water and liquid soap is also fine. For the wood blinds, a good recommendation is using a surface cleaner produced for a wood. Avoid pouring much amount of the cleaner to avoid warping of wood.

And third is cleaning the shades. Use the vacuum cleaner when cleaning them. The vacuum must be set to a lowest setting for the suction. Be sure to follow carefully all the instructions provided in the label. The fabric types of shades must be dry cleaned. Avoid on using water solutions if dry cleaning is being specified.

Plastic treatments or shades are required to be wiped using a clean cloth and this is should be dipped into the water mixed with liquid soap. For removing stains and spots, get an all purpose cleaner, spray it to the treatment then gently do the scrubbing. Lastly, mix the liquid soap with water and use it for honeycomb shades to be cleaned. Blot the stains or spots directly on the material. Avoid rubbing to prevent the texture from damages.
