The first step involves you to heat the mixture. Put an ounce of beeswax, 4 ounce coconut oils and 2 ounce butter and heat them gently on low heat. Since you are making only a handful of portion, it will be ideal to maintain candle warmth.

Next step is to observe keenly as the ingredients melt and combine. Make sure that you stir every now and then and ensure that that they do not reach a boiling point. Letting it boil may tend to lead to the mixture getting burnt and removal of therapeutic ingredients. Soon as the solution turns liquid, get it away from the heat.

When adding essential oils, you really need to work really fast. The point here is to add the essential oil prior to allowing the balm to solidify. Put some few drops of rosemary and lavender oil into the balm and then stir well. Once you have added the oil, immediately pour balm into storage tin and cover it.

Allow the balm to stay overnight in a tin to properly cool down. By the following morning your balm would be much ready for use on your face. Experiment using different oils so as to get a desired fragrance and texture. Some oils are known to reduce itchiness and others make skin to be moist. Within a short time, you will become an expert in making homemade balm.
