William (Bill) Moggridge born in London (England) in 1943, and died September 8, 2012, is a British designer specializing in industrial design and interactive design pioneer. Co-founder of the firm IDEO in Silicon Valley, he also directs the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum of the Smithsonian Institution in New York. It is known that drawing is one of the first laptops, the Grid Compass in 1979. Grid Systems built by these computers used in operation within NASA in the 1980s.
